[powerpress player]Michael Parkhurst is a retired professional soccer player. He started playing soccer around the age of 6. Mike played club soccer in Rhode Island from ages 9-14. He Went to the IMG academy for High School and attended Wake forest for 3 years. He played professionally for 15 years - 10 years in Major League Soccer, and 5 in Europe.Parkhurst is an MLS cup champion and played in the open cup, danish cup, danish league and the gold cup with the United States men’s soccer team.
