‍Every athlete needs speed. Our dedicated SOS Speed School, available at Skill of Strength or as a Remote Camp, is designed for youth athletes to build the core foundation of athletic speed. This focused program goes beyond basic drills, concentrating exclusively on the critical elements that transform an athlete into a fast, explosive competitor.

The Speed School is for athletes who want to work directly on their running mechanics, efficiency, explosiveness, and first-step quickness. You'll master the correct fundamentals for sprinting and changing direction.

With a low coach-to-athlete ratio and sports-centric coaches who care, every athlete gets the guidance they need to improve safely and consistently.


The program focuses on:

  • Sprint Mechanics: Sprinting posture, breaking down joint angles, force production and maximum stride efficiency for acceleration and top-end speed.
  • Footwork: Rapid, precise movement patterns to enhance agility, acceleration, and change of direction.
  • Acceleration and Deceleration: To gain an immediate advantage off the line, quicker redirection into the next movement, and injury prevention.
  • Agility & Change of Direction: The ability to react quickly and control fast, multi-directional movement and agility on the field.
  • Plyometrics & Power Development: To build the explosiveness that separates you from the competition.

Join us to develop the foot speed, landing mechanics, and multi-directional movement skills essential for success in any sport.

Training Options:

  • Skill of Strength: Housed inside our 7,500+ sq. ft. training facility, optimized for athletic training with open turf for sprinting and foot drills. Athletes are tested using industry-standard tools to measure speed and jump distances and we can provide feedback in real time.
    • When: Wednesdays, 3:30–4:30 PM
    • Athletes can join Speed School alone or combine it with COMPETE and PERFORM strength and conditioning for a full performance training membership.
      Current COMPETE and PERFORM Members get 50% off SOS speed school.
  • Remote Speed Clinics/Camps: The expertise of SOS coaches comes to your clubs, teams, and organizations. SOS Owner/Founder and Head Coach, Mike Perry, will travel to your facility, field, or gym to deliver high-quality speed and performance training designed for youth and adolescent athletes.

    • Speed programs are appropriate for middle school and high school athletes and can be adjusted based on sport, age, season, and training age. Each option is built to meet athletes (and coaches)  where they are and help them move better, faster, and more efficiently.

      • Single Session- workshop style: Great for team tune-ups, preseason prep, or exposure to speed training
      • 4–8 Week Camps: Ideal for offseason / pre-season development and allows time to reinforce mechanics, build confidence, and create lasting change.

Our facility is conveniently located The Mill building located at 73 Princeton St in North Chelmsford, right off Routes 3 and 495. The Mill houses several businesses, including the Establishment Bar and Grill.
