Questions? We (probably) have the answers!
How do I sign up for a a free class?
You can sign up for a free class right here. Once we receive your request, we’ll reach out to confirm a time that works for you and let the coach know to expect you. Prefer a more personal touch? Feel free to contact us directly at info@skillofstrength.com and we’ll get you all set up!
How long does it take to see results?
It depends — everyone’s starting point, goals, and lifestyle are different. Your results will be influenced by factors like: • How consistent you are with your training • How much effort you put in during sessions • Your current fitness level and training history • Sleep, stress, nutrition, and overall lifestyle Some people notice changes in energy and strength within a few weeks. Visible changes often take longer — but the more consistent you are, the faster progress happens.
What are the ages for your group training programs?
Our MOVE group training program is for ages 18+. Our sports performance programs are designe for middle school and high school athletes. See our sports performance page for more details on ages and keep in mind everyone develops at different speeds so there is a bit of gray area and our coaches are more than happy to help you find the best program for you / your athlete.
What sets you apart from other gyms?
What sets us apart is the combination of expert coaching, proven programs, and a community that genuinely cares about your success. Every class is led by skilled coaches who guide you, correct your form, and keep you progressing. You’ll train alongside goal-oriented individuals who support you, challenge you, and hold you accountable. Our clean, well-equipped space, focused training approach, and welcoming atmosphere make Skill of Strength more than just a gym — it’s a place where you can get stronger, stay consistent, and actually enjoy the process.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
We recommend starting with 2–4 classes per week. It can take time for your body to adjust to training at this intensity, so listen to your body and allow for recovery between sessions. More isn’t always better — we want you feeling fresh, ready to work hard, and get the most out of every class.
What classes are included in a membership?
Our MOVE adult group training memberships include unlimited classes. Our sports performance memberships (COMPETE & PERFORM) include two sessions per week.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No way — we love beginners! You have to start somewhere, and we work with everyone from first-timers to professional athletes. No matter your fitness level, we have a program that’s right for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve your fitness, and move toward your goals. Our coaches are experts at offering regressions and progressions so every training session is tailored to you.
Will I have access to open gym times?
Our MOVE memberships do not include open gym access, but you can add it for an additional fee. Our SUCCEED memberships include access to all open gym times. Youth performance training memberships (COMPETE & PERFORM) do not include open gym, as we want to ensure all young athletes are coached and supervised at all times.
What ages do you work with for personal training?
We've worked with clients ages 10 - 85!
How many people are in a class?
We cap our adult group training classes at 12 members (and 20 members on Saturdays). On average, classes have between 5–10 members. Our youth performance training programs are capped at 10–12 participants for one coach, and 16 participants when there are two coaches.
